Steps to test the pre-release of the Google Docs application

Follow the steps below to access our pre-release version. If you haven’t already, install the Process Feedback Google Docs extension available in the Chrome Web Store.

1. Pin the extension in your browser.
2. Click on the blue PF icon to open the extension settings.
3. In the settings popup, check the checkbox that says “Download process data.”
4. Reload a Google Docs document you want to explore the writing process. The button label should now change to “Process Data.”
5. Click on “Process Data.”
6. In the new window that opens, change the URL to say test.processfeedback.org instead of app.processfeedback.org. This is our pre-release environment.
7. Load the downloaded process data ZIP file into the new page.
