Pricing for teachers and students

Process Feedback and its features are free for individual teachers and students

What free includes

Everything an individual teacher or student needs for everyday classroom use is free. Individual teachers should not need procurement approval just to help students reflect on their writing or coding process.

Free access includes:

  • Browser extensions for Google Docs, Canvas, and other supported environments
  • Student-facing writing and coding tools
  • Classroom use without institutional agreements or formal procurement
  • Teacher dashboards and core classroom workflows

How we are able to keep it free

Most individual use runs directly in the browser and has minimal infrastructure cost. Individual users mostly do not require formal support, compliance documentation, or governed data handling. This allows us to keep the core classroom workflows free for individual teachers and students. In contrast, institutional deployments require support, compliance, and data privacy guarantees.

What institutional pricing covers

Institutional deployments require broader planning than everyday classroom use. Institutional pricing reflects the deployment scope, the level of data handling required, and the support expected.

Institutions do not pay based on the number of students or teachers. Where schools, districts, colleges, and universities require it, institutional pricing covers:

  • Formal deployment support
  • LMS or LTI integration where required
  • Privacy, security, and compliance documentation
  • Institutional agreements covering data handling and retention
  • Priority support, onboarding, and training
  • Specialized hosting or jurisdiction-specific requirements when needed

Our commitment to free individual access

Core classroom workflows will remain free for individual teachers and students. If paid institutional offerings expand in the future, they will be tied to institutional deployment, data handling, and support requirements, not to per-student or per-teacher pricing.

Thank you for keeping it free for individual teachers. My school is not really rich and having tools like this available to individual teachers makes a world of difference.
